Taken in Oued Low (probably misspelled), a beachy town in the north.

I haven’t posted anything in forever!! But I returned a few days ago from a bit of traveling and have a few photos, and way too much time, so I’m posting a few. Does anyone still read this? Not thinking so! But on the off-chance someone is, hello and how are you?

I spend so much time thinking about English for my work that I have stopped studying Arabic. This must change.

The end.

New roomie introduced this video to me. Harvey Milk, still relevant and still important.

I’m beginning a series called “Strange Things I See in Morocco”, in which I will post…wait for it…strange things I see in Morocco. This is exhibit number 1.

text 3 Jul blahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I have been out of commission for the past few days due to an illness that loves nothing more than to toy with me. I went to a clinic last night and the dreaded ‘Swine Flu: H1N1” was tossed around, but in the end it was decided I’m just…sick. So now I’m pumped full of medicine and just lying around, waiting for all bodily functions to return to normal. Just thought I’d share.

A child can always teach an adult three things: to be happy for no reason, to always be busy with something, and to know how to demand with all his might that which he desires.

When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence.

link 23 Jun Not everyone believes the shocking video of a woman shot in Tehran. Telmah Parsa writes from Iran on why many Iranians—including his mother—refuse to accept the horrific video tells the whole truth.»

A short opinion-based article on the death of Neda, who has since become a martyr for the cause of Iranian reform. I am ignorant to the history of Iran and all the elements of the current situation facing Iranians, but articles like this shed light, even if it’s only a little ray.

quote 22 Jun
Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.

If anyone is on twitter, set your location to Tehran and your time zone to GMT +3.30. Security forces are hunting for bloggers using location/timezone searches. The more people at this location, the more of a logjam it creates for forces trying to shut down Iranians’ access to the internet. Cut & paste & please pass it on.
